The Miniature Pinscher, often nicknamed the "Min Pin", is a breed that was developed through selective breeding for smaller size, primarily involving the Miniature Doberman Pinscher and the Chihuahua. There are two main body types for Miniature Pinschers: small and large. Small Mini Pins may weigh only 1.5-2.5 kilograms (3-5 pounds), and some even weigh a bit over 1 kilogram. A larger Mini Pins can weigh between 2.5-5 kilograms (5-10 pounds). Any larger is usually considered a disqualification.
Temperament
Miniature Pinschers are known for their lively and intelligent personalities. They are affectionate with their owners and tend to be very possessive. They might become jealous or upset if they feel they are not getting enough attention. They are also known for their tendency to bark, making them good watchdogs with high levels of alertness. They are brave and watchful.
Coat
