Nine Legal Bird Species You Can Keep as Pets in China

In China, there are nine bird species that are legally permitted to be kept as pets: Budgerigars (also known as parakeets), Cockatiels, Peach-faced Lovebirds, Gouldian Finches, Canaries, Zebra Finches, Long-tailed Finches, Society Finches, and Java Sparrows.
