2024 Guide: Understanding the Price of a Tabby Cat

In 2024, the price of a tabby cat typically ranges from around 3,000 to 6,000 yuan. However, tabby cats with a pure pedigree and a CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association) certificate will command prices starting at 6,000 yuan or more. Show-quality tabby cats can even reach tens of thousands of yuan.

Originating from the United States, the tabby cat is considered a noble breed, primarily featuring silver and black as its main colors. The price of a tabby cat is influenced by many factors, including the cat's appearance, age, and pedigree, so a general price cannot be universally applied. Currently, the market price for tabby cats usually falls between 3,000 and 6,000 yuan. A typical, well-looking tabby kitten can cost around 4,000 yuan. Based on age, a 3-month-old tabby cat might cost about 3,000 yuan, while a 2-month-old one may be around 4,000 yuan. When considering pedigree, a purebred tabby cat with CFA certification can cost upwards of 6,000 yuan. Show-level tabby cats can fetch prices exceeding 10,000 yuan.

How to Care for a Tabby Cat

1. When feeding a tabby cat, it's important to maintain a regular feeding schedule with consistent portions. Always feed your cat in a fixed location, and be mindful of the food’s temperature. Adult cats generally eat once in the morning and once in the evening, while growing kittens and nursing mothers may require more frequent feedings. External disturbances, such as bright lights, noise, fire, or the presence of other animals, can disrupt a cat's eating. The food temperature should be between 25 and 40°C. Too cold or too hot food can cause digestive issues.

2. The frequency of bathing your tabby cat should depend on the season and its hygiene needs. Most tabby cats live indoors and remain relatively clean, so bathing them every 2 to 3 months should be sufficient. Bathing methods include both wet and dry washing.Free access here:Pet Grooming
