How Are Odd-Eyed Cats Bred?

If a kitten's parents are closely related, both have odd eyes (heterochromia), or one parent has blue eyes and the other has gold eyes, their offspring are likely to inherit the odd-eyed trait. This is often related to chromosomal abnormalities. While odd-eyed cats may appear beautiful, these genetic defects can cause them to live in pain.
